Time: Wednesday, April 25th, 7:30pm Place: Thai City 3691 El Camino Real Palo Alto, Ca 94306 Description: Thai City is one of the few Thai restaurants in the mid-peninsula; When I lived in Palo Alto, this was the Thai place we'd drag out of town visitors to. They deal with crowds well, the food is reasonable (not stellar, but reasonable - their Tom Kha Gai has more chili than I care for, but then I learned about TKG at Cha Am and have been biased ever since). They are willing to spice reasonably, but you do have to persuade them - they're a bit sceptical when people request 'hot.' Their prime forte is daily seafood specials. Vegetarians will be happy with the menu. Entree's are in the six to eleven dollar range, weighted toward the low end. The place is a nice all-around Thai restaurant. [Review by RichardT] Kabuki was last at Thai City on November 11th, 1996. I'm sure the prices have gone up a little since then. Directions: Thai City is at the corner of El Camino and Wilton just south of Oregon Expressway/Page Mill Road. Take 101 to Palo Alto. Leave the freeway at the Oregon Expressway exit, heading West to El Camino. At El Camino, turn left and proceed one block past the second light. Turn left, and park. The restaurant is on the corner on your left hand side. [Directions by RichardT]
