Description:

If you're familiar with Swagat in Mountain View, you'll have a
good idea of what to expect at Suraj. It was started by one of
the co-owners of Swagat. In Redwood City, however, he has managed
to find a much larger facility than in Mountain View.

There are a wide variety of entrees. Vegetarians will have no
problems finding a selection of dishes. Complete "thali" dinners
are around $14 or so. Standard entrees start at around $9 and go
up. They've also got some more unusual selections, such as Dosas,
    Uttapam and Idli.

Kabuki last attended Suraj on February 16th. Do not attend if
you look like a hat-check clerk.

Directions:

    Short:

On El Camino Real, a few blocks south of Woodside Road. It's on
the right if you're coming from Woodside Road. Across from the
    mall with Pier 1.

    Transit:

Give up. You're in the most poorly transit-served segment of the
peninsula. There is an El Camino bus line (the 5M?), but I'd carpool.

    Long:

Take 101 to Redwood City. Leave the freeway at Woodside Road.
Exit Woodside onto Southbound El Camino Real. The restaurant is
several block south on the right hand side.
