Place: Peking Duck Restaurant 2310 El Camino Real Palo Alto, CA 650-856-3338 Description: Peking Duck has really excellent food. The restaurant has a fairly extensive vegetarian menu (though remember to ask for the garlic eggplant without the pork), as well as the usual seafood, poultry and pork dishes. The spicy dishes are less hot than Jing Jing. Their specialty dish, Peking Duck, can often be had without notice. Food intolerances are catered to just speak to the waitstaff upon ordering. Most of the sauces have MSG, but the waitstaff can recommend dishes without MSG and sometimes the chef can make a sauce without the MSG. They handle the group I bring in monthly (25-30 people) with little trouble, and service is fairly quick. Entrees run about $8-12, with duck a bit higher. NB: Specify long table when making reservation, otherwise they will break group into smaller round tables. [review by raladue] [Kabuki was last at Peking Duck on February 28, 2001.
