KW needs a new scheduler! Kabuki web page at http://remarque.org/kabuki. Time: Please arrive at 7:30pm; we generally order around 7:45pm. Arrivals after 8pm may need to find their own table. Place: Fresh Choice 1105 W. El Camino Real at Grape Sunnyvale, CA 94807-1026 (408) 732-7788 http://www.freshchoiceinc.com/ [see coupons page for $1.50 off!] Description: Fresh Choice is a salad emporium, featuring several types of premade salads, a full salad bar, and various hot entrees. There are 3 - 5 soups to choose from as well, and 1 - 2 of them will be vegetarian. Baked potatoes, pasta with meat or veggie sauce, and breads & muffins are available as well. The dessert bar is unimaginative but there's always the soft-serve ice cream. One feature of Fresh Choice that lends itself to KW is that each person serves him or herself as they enter and pay. Latecomers will not find themselves at a disadvantage, nor with the early-and-ravenous have to descend any further into the depths of low blood sugar. Fresh Choice is also very easy on the pocketbook, which is a nice change of pace. Clip the web coupon for dinner and you'll get out for under $10 for dinner, dessert, and a soft drink. KW has never been to this particular Fresh Choice before, nor, I believe, to any Fresh Choice. For those who feel it is declasse, I point to the prominent "we need a new dinner organizer" notice at the top of the page. ;-) [Review by SRC] Directions: Freeway: Take 101 or 280 to 85 and head towards Sunnyvale, to the Sunnyvale El Camino Real exit. Fresh Choice is at Grape, the light after Bernardo, and before Mary, no more than a few blocks from the exit. Turn left into the lot shared with Sunnymount Produce. Transit: Take the 22 bus (surprise). Connect at the Sunnyvale Caltrain station with any of several buses that will take you to El Camino, and then head west/north on El Camino-- tell the driver "toward Bernardo" if you're confused.
