Time: Wednesday, July 18th, 7:30pm Arrivals after 8pm may need to find their own table, this place is usually packed.. Place: Fiesta del Mar 1005 N Shoreline Blvd Mountain View, CA 94043 (650) 965-9354 Description: Good Mexican food, not too fancy, but very yummy; a couple notches above El Paso Cafe for quality IMHO. . The green sauce enchiladas are especially good, the chicken mole is outstanding, and for what it's worth I also like the colorful decor, with carved and painted chairs and tile-inset tabletops. A close match for the usually-more-croweded La Fiesta in Mt View, and with most items a dollar or two cheaper, plus vastly better parking. My favorite: the enjocado chicken enchiladas. Mike recommends the veggie burrito-- muy muy bueno! [review by SRC] Kabuki has never been to Fiesta del Mar at Shoreline. [We went there in July 2001 - don't do this when there's a big concert at Shoreline or the traffic is horrendous :-) It's run by the same people who run the Villa St. one. -- wcs] Directions: Brief: Take 101 to Shoreline Avenue, turn right onto Shoreline (works from 101 N or S). Fiesta del Mar's is on the left, a block or so after the bridge across 101. They have a parking lot. Transit: Good guess. I am almost certain, but not quite, that there are buses down Shoreline from the surrounding CalTrain stops, but I can't swear to it. It's a relatively short hop by cab or bike from the Mountain View train station-- San Antonio is probably about half again further away. Not too practical by transit, all and all. [directions by SRC]
