Time: Wednesday, September 5th, 7:30pm Place: Andy's 700 E. Campbell Ave Campbell CA 408-378-2838 http://www.metroactive.com/papers/metro/12.02.99/dining-9948.html Description: Uber-yummy Texas style BBQ, with (apparently) an updated decor from the last time I dropped by. Picture a little southern roadhouse type BBQ place picked up and plunked down behind an overpass and generally out of the way. Vegetarians, umm, you're probably not going to like this one. Green salad, coleslaw, potato salad, and the like are their only pure-veggie items. I thought they had garden burgers when I picked them, but just called now and found out they don't! Directions: Freeway: Take 280 or 85 to 17 South, to the Hamilton Ave exit (the first one). Turn left onto Hamilton, cross over the railroad tracks, and make an immediate right on Bascom. Follow Bascom down a light or two past the Pruneyard and turn right on Campbell Ave. You'll pass the T-intersection of Union Ave, and then pass under the 17 overpass. Andy's is a little nondescript blockhouse kind of building with some gravel parking around it. Public transit: Use transitinfo.org or similar to navigate via public transit to the Pruneyard on Bascomb. Andy's is about a 5 - 8 minute walk from the Barnes & Noble at the corner of Bascomb and Campbell.
