It has delicious spicy food and impeccable service. It is a low-lit restaurant where they serve you food on mikasa china in a wonderful atmosphere. They have interesting appetizers, such as mushroom and cottage cheese "egg rolls" (i forgot their real name but that's what they look like), samosas, and pakoras. Main dishes include the salmon masala, which is delicious, and aloo gobhi, potatoes and cauliflower. Plus they have delicious chai. [Description by Jill] DIRECTIONS: Short: Amber India is located in the olive tree shopping center on the mountain view side of el camino in between Rengstorff and Ortega Ave. Long: From Hwy 101: Take the Rengstorff Ave. exit. Go away from the bay until the road ends at el camino and make a right. Amber is within a block and a half on the right side From Hwy 280 South: Take the Page Mill Road exit. Go up to El Camino Real and make a right. After Ortega, make a U-turn at Rengstorff. Amber is on the right side within block and a half. From Hwy 85: Take the exit for El Camino Real towards Mountain View. Go past Rengstorff, and follow the above directions - RichardT
