Place
Kan Zaman
1793 Haight Street
San Francisco
Description
Kan Zaman serves middle eastern cuisine. Couscous, Tabouli, olives,...
They have a delightful vegetarian menu. They have a greek salad that's
do die for. They do yummy things with Kebabs. They are moderately
priced for San Francisco or Berkeley, and meals can be cheerfully
had for $12 out the door. They're also fairly dripping with
atmosphere, including cushion and floor seating as well as tables
for the less adventurous.
Kabuki has never been to Kan Zaman

Directions
Short
Welcome to Haight-Ashbury, where the sixties happened.
Kan Zaman is on the south side of the street, about a block
and a half from the west end of Haight.
Public Transit
The restaurant is across the street from a stop for the 71-Haight
muni line. Ok, so that's a little vague. If you don't know the
SF bus system, get to downtown SF and catch a 71 on Market. If
you do know the SF bus system, why are you asking me for directions?
Long
Take your route of choice to San Francisco. Once there, follow
signage toward 101 Northbound. Take the 9th street exit.
Go north on 9th. 9th will "Y" out. You will want to veer to
the left and get on to Hayes. Follow Hayes to Gough and turn
left. Turn right at the next intersection which is Fell. Take
Fell toward the ocean until the panhandle of Golden Gate park
is on your left. Turn left at your first light, and go several
blocks (about five) up the hill until you hit Haight. Turn right
and begin fantasizing about parking. The restaurant in on the
left hand side of the street just before Schrader.
