Subject: Dinner Wed 11/29, Swagat, Palo Alto
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

This Event:

	Wed 11/29, Swagat, Palo Alto

Coming Events:

	Thursday, 12/7, MoMoYa, Mountain View

Time:

	Wednesday 11/29, 7:30++pm

Place:

	Swagat
	2700 W. El Camino
	Palo Alto

Description:

Russell's favorite Indian restaurant. Need I say more?

Well, okay. Entrees in the $6-$8 range. Vegetarian friendly.
The last time Kabuki was there we had the back dining room to
ourselves (this was good, we were exceptionally loud). They
have a good track record for spicing up or down to taste.

	Also really yummy Kulcha.

Kabuki was last at Swagat a few months ago.

Directions:

Curt: Swagat is on El Camino one block north of San Antonio in Palo Alto.

Short: take 101 to Palo Alto. Take the San Antonio road exit. Go
west to El Camino. Turn right, travel one block. Swagat is on your
right, adjoining a motel. If you hit the Thai Bowling Alley,
	you've gone too far.

Longer: Swagat is south of the Dumbarton Bridge (84) and north of 237.
There is no sane (IE, I can explain it in one page or less) way to reach
the restaurant from 280. Well, maybe its not that bad, but still. It
can also be reached from Central/Alma instead of 101, but if you know
the area that well, you don't need directions.

Transit: The 22 bus stops in front of the restaurant, and runs the length
of El Camino, from somewhere in east san jose (I've been there once
when I'd overslept on the bus) to Menlo Park. Buses are once every
thirty minutes, which is (sigh) frequent by South Bay standards. Ah,
	suburban hell, gotta love it...
