Time: Wednesday, October 10th, 7:30pm This one is going to require a real reservation, folks-- please ACK early, and if you do ACK, *show up within 20 minutes of the start time*. Thanks! Place: Sundance Mine Company 1921 El Camino Real Palo Alto, 650-321-6798 http://www.waitersonwheels.com/tpl/menu2.tpl?RestId=PA%3AR016 http://siliconvalley.citysearch.com/profile/924663 Description: One of the best local haunts for quality Dead Critter. Seafood lovers have a lot of fun in store. Vegetarians have mostly the usual baked potato, salad, rice, steamed veggies options, alas. This is the meativore counterpart to Udupi Palace, sometimes we can't make everyone happy on the same trip. Warning: this is an unusually expen$ive KW-- expect to spend $40+ per person with minimal appetizers and no wine. T-shirts and jeans are not barred, afaik, but if you're the easily self-conscious type you may want to dress more upscale, like "business casual" or so. [Review by SRC] KW has never been to Sundance Mine Company. Directions: Freeway: Take 101 to Oregon Expressway, follow that up to El Camino and turn right, toward Menlo Park. Or, take 280 to Page Mill Road, follow down to El Camino and turn left, toward Menlo Park. Either way, you will proceed past California Ave, then Cambridge, College, Oxford, and just barely past Stanford Ave is a right turn into the parking lot of Sundance. Transit: Looks like about a 10 - 12 minute walk from the California Avenue Caltrain stop. Or walk up to El Camino and take the ubiquitous 22 bus the extra few blocks. [Directions by SRC]
