Time: Tuesday, May 2nd, 7:30pm Place: Mary Chung Restaurant 460 Mass Ave Cambridge 617-864-1991 Description: Mary Chung's is a classic hangout of the MIT community. They serve cheap student chinese which is much beloved of all and sundry. The closest you can get in the Bay area is purported to be Full House in Mountain View. There have been rafts and rafts of Senior House and FTP and BBN and Apocalypse dinners at Mary Chung's. Eat here if you dare. Kabuki-West has never attended Mary Chung. I intend to lift a rav or two in Wuthel's honor. Directions: Short: Its on Mass Ave. Its two blocks from a T stop. You know how to use the T, right? Public Transit: Its two blocks from the Central Square T, on the Red line. Long: From the Peninsula, proceed north on 101 to 80 east. Continue east past Vallejo heading towards Davis. As you pass the Air Force Base, you should pass through a time gate which drops you on to RT 128 North/South. Turn east onto 90, to the Cambridge Street exit. Continue over the bridge, where the street name becomes River, and take a slight right onto Western ave, followed shortly thereafter by another slight right onto Mass Ave. Park and eat yummy food. If you prefer driving to using the time gate, it should take you 57 hours and 21 minutes, according to Yahoo. Basically you stay on 80 east for a long time, avoiding careening to your death in the Dakota's, which are very dark and menacing after you've been driving for two days solid with no sleep to speak of (I have this on excellent authority from several Kabuki members, and they know much more about sleep deprivation than I do, so I believe them). Eventually (in about Pennsylvania) you'll hit I-480, where you'll head east to US-422. Go east on US-422 to the I-271 North ramp towards Erie, about .8 miles. Continue on I-271 until you hit I-90, then turn east for another four hundred and forty eight miles, then take I-87 South to the New York State Throughway. After another 130 miles, the Throughway becomes I-90 east again, and you can follow the exit onto Cambridge street and follow the directions above. [sarcasm by richardt] -RichardT
