: I have a chance to get an abundance of long dried fir needles. Does anyone have ideas of how I might be able to make the best use of them? Thanks.

Long needles are what you need to make baskets. At the meeting tonight Connie brought one she had made. If you contact her (she has a post on the bulletin board right now!) she could tell you what book she used to learn how to make them. Her basket was beautiful and she said it was pretty easy! They could also make good mulch material for acid-loving plants like rhodedendrons/azaleas or blueberries, cranberries or lingon berries.
